On Saturday, March 8, 2008 we had a craft event that was small this year but we hope to grow. Our Scrapbooking Marathon had 13 scrappers, and 2 vendors. We netted approximately $300 after expenses. We hope to make this event much larger next year. Watch for information. Congratulations to our top three raffle winners- 1st prize to Shanwa Sawyer, 2nd to Jen Mac, and 3rd to Patty Stolzenfeld.
This year we added a feature to our Concert in the Park. We sold snacks at the entire series of concerts. Ernie May & His Banjo Friends played again this year to benefit Darci's medical needs and we brought in over $300 for the season. Watch for our next year's series.
Well, what an experience. None of our volunteers or committee members have ever done a car show, so there were a few hitches to over come, but we did it. Our first effort netted us just under $800. The weather was great, the location is perfect and 25 cars turned out to help us raise money for Darci's medical expenses. The event was considered a sucess and has been booked for next year. Watch for upcoming information.
Thanks to Buckhorn Towing we were able to obtain a car to "bash". For $1.00 at swing over 200 peple enjoyed taking out their frustration on our donated car. This event along with a sucker pull netted just under $300 for kidney transplant medical expenses. See you next year.
